At Charlie’s Change, our mission is simple: to put compassion into action. One way we do that is by supporting projects that make a tangible difference in the lives of domestic animals — and the people who care for them.
This month, we’re shining a spotlight on a small but mighty organization doing big things: Pit Pals.
They recently launched a project to upgrade some of their older kennels and convert a disused stable into a warm, safe space for rescue dogs. Nothing flashy. Just bricks, cement, a few extra hands, and a lot of heart.
When we saw their update, we knew we wanted to help.
Their request was honest and practical — and spoke directly to the kind of work Charlie’s Change exists to support: real needs, real impact, real change. Thanks to our donors, we were able to make a monetary contribution toward the materials and labor needed to move this project forward.

Pit Pals is a Cape Town–based organization with a clear, hands-on approach to rescue. They focus on:
