Dear Diary: Finding My Feet at the Westin

Today marks day 3 at the Westin Hotel — and I’m still finding my feet.

So far, it’s been good. I’ve already worked in two different kitchens alongside chefs who really know what they’re doing. The best part? They don’t mind when I ask questions (which I love to do — lol).

Today, I got to sauté some veggies for the Café. Small task maybe, but every little bit is helping me learn and grow.

I do miss school, though. But hey, that’s life. This is where I need to be now — learning in the real world.

Waking up extra early is no joke! My body is still adjusting to the routine. But at the end of each day, I feel fulfilled. I know I’m exactly where I need to be.

I’m so thankful for this opportunity I’ve been given. ❤
